Harm Reduction Education & Programs

Overdoses happen all around us. At work, at school, at sporting events, and in community spaces. Knowing how to recognize and reverse an overdose takes less than two hours to learn — and it can save a life.

Common Ground Recovery Partners offers professional harm reduction training for Main Line employers, schools, athletic programs, and community organizations. Delivered by a certified trainer with a decade of experience on the frontlines of the opioid crisis, this is not a generic safety course. It’s practical, evidence-based training from someone who has actually used these skills in the field.

Who we work with:

  • Employers — law firms, financial services, healthcare practices, architecture and engineering firms

  • Private schools and independent academic institutions

  • Service industry, country clubs, athletic programs, and recreational organizations

  • Faith communities with active health and wellness programming

  • Municipal departments, volunteer fire companies, and first responder organizations

  • HR teams and Employee Assistance Programs at regional employers

Our service area is focused on Southeastern Pennsylvania, including Philadelphia and surrounding suburbs on the Main Line. We also serve South Jersey and Delaware organizations upon request.

Harm reduction training

We offer several practical, evidence-based training programs including Harm Reduction 101, Overdose Recognition & Response, and CPR. Training is available as a 1–2 hour group session (up to 15 participants) or a half-day organizational program for larger teams. Delivered on-site at your location — no special equipment or facility required.

School & community education

We offer tailored harm reduction education for private schools, universities, athletic programs, and community organizations. Programs are adapted for the specific audience — student-facing content covers peer support, the current drug supply, and how to help a friend; parent and faculty programs cover warning signs, how to talk about substance use with young people, and what to do in a crisis.

Workplace harm reduction program development

Beyond a single training session, some organizations want to build a lasting harm reduction culture. We can help with: naloxone procurement and placement policies, employee assistance referral protocols, manager training on how to support an employee in crisis, and building a recovery-supportive workplace framework.
